I think this next bit speaks for itself and it does so using the eloquent writing style of formerly staunch Republican Christopher Buckley.

One thing to note. After writing this and weathering serious flack for it from his workplace, Buckley offered to resign from the National Review. The periodical accepted his offer quickly and now Buckly can no longer write for the paper his family founded.

Gotta love that famous Republican forgiveness… oh wait…
