I Swear…
…there’s a joke here about McCain “keeping it up”, but I just can’t bring myself to make it.

Roll Them Bones…
I usually feel that a candidate’s personal life is exactly that – personal. I only get concerned when private behavior indicates something troubling about a public servant’s abilities in the office they hold. McCain holding the highest office in the United States already sounds like a bad gamble to me, but this article just makes that worse:

A Sense of Humor…
…is something I greatly admire in people, whether they are running for political office or fixing my vehicle (thank you for that, guys; I had NO CLUE how to get that radiator out).
That said, there’s a time and place for some jokes. Everyone knows that…
…everyone except John McCain, apparently.

Always Two There Are…
I won’t make any bones about it. I do not like John McCain. He stands for things I despise and detests things I care about strongly. That said, I will never openly insult the man. He has done a lot for this nation and his service record is to be appreciated. I will give him his due.
The only reason I mention it is that McCain is now facing the most important decision of his campaign – the Vice President choice. If he chooses poorly, there will be TWO people on the Republican ticket I dislike…
Read on.
In With The Funny!
I think that in all things, a little comedy is good to have.

In all seriousness though, please read the text that goes along with these images. There is nothing funny about some of the points being made.
Enjoy,

Talking About Tasteless….
John McCain starts the sentence, “I would hate for this tragedy to affect anyone’s campaign…”
Allow me to finish it, “…but I am going to take advantage of it like an insurance lawyer at a car crash.”
Nice work, Mr. McCain. Pure class.

Ah, Hypocrisy…
If there is one thing I detest, it is a hypocrite. I will even stop in the middle of an argument to admit if I’ve gone back on something I;ve said or acted inappropriately. It just seems like good manners and the right thing to do.
So where is that thinking in the McCain camp after constantly attacking Michelle Obama’s “loving America” comment? You need to watch this video:

It will show you what I mean.

When We Do It, It’s Called Cheating…
When one looks for news stories to post up, a few things are important. Substantiation is chief among these; anyone can just make something up and put it on the web. There is no “Great Truth Filter” (aside from public opinion, and we’ve all seen how well that works). I have been trying very hard to make sure everything I post for your perusal is vetted by checking its sources first.
This latest one passes the check-test. It’s factual, which makes it all the more shocking.

It’s Distressingly Easy…
…to create and run a purely negative website. I do not want to fall into that trap. The longer a person shouts insults, the less anyone really listens. I have no desire to be that kind of person. That kind of blogger gets tuned out or, worse, categorized and ignored.
To that end, let me share this link with you. It’s a list of actual votes and quotes by John McCain. Personally, I think the facts are clearer than any insult or jab could ever be:

A Bitter Pill to Swallow…
You should really see this. These are the kinds of Clintonian (yeah, it’s a legitimate adjective) closet-rattlers people need to know about if they are going to trust a candidate.
